Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery
Modern techniques allow many foot procedures to be done through incisions of just a few millimeters — correcting the problem while disturbing less of everything around it.
What it is
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) uses very small incisions and specialized instruments, guided by live imaging, to correct bone and soft-tissue problems that once required much larger openings.
The correction underneath is just as real — the difference is how the surgeon gets there. Smaller incisions mean less soft-tissue disruption during the procedure.
Our approach
Not every foot is a candidate for a minimally invasive approach — and a good surgeon tells you when it isn't. Dr. Barnett recommends MIS when it genuinely fits your anatomy and goals, and a traditional approach when that will serve you better.
Either way, the plan is explained honestly: what the technique can do, what it can't, and what recovery involves.
